Joining a Hierarchy

Discover and join hierarchies that match your interests, dynamic type, and location preferences

What is a Hierarchy?

In TaskManager, a hierarchy is your private space for managing D/s dynamics, tasks, training, and communication. Think of it as your digital household where you can:

✓ Your Role Shapes Your Experience
Once you join a hierarchy, your dashboard (The Helm) adapts to your role. Submissives see their tasks, training progress, and praise. Dominants see an overview of their submissives, pending approvals, and household activity.

Browsing Hierarchies

After creating your account and completing age verification, you'll see the hierarchy browser. This is where you can discover existing hierarchies or create your own.

Filter Options

Use the filter bar to narrow down hierarchies that match your interests:

By Category

Hierarchies are organized by dynamic type:

By Location Type

By Location

When you select In-Person or Hybrid, you can search by city or region (e.g., "Austin, TX", "Bay Area", "UK").

Understanding Hierarchy Cards

Each hierarchy in the browse list shows:

Activity Levels

Activity scores help you find active hierarchies:

Score Label Indicator
80-100 Very Active ● Green
50-79 Active ● Green
20-49 Moderate ● Yellow
1-19 Low Activity ● Orange
0 Dormant ● Gray

Join Types

Hierarchies have different join policies:

  1. Open
Click "Join" and you're in immediately. No approval required. Great for casual or exploratory hierarchies.
  2. Approval Required
Your request is sent to the hierarchy's admins for review. You'll be notified when approved or declined. The hierarchy may show a custom join message explaining their requirements.
  3. Invite Only
These hierarchies don't appear in the public browser. You need a direct invite code or link from someone already in the hierarchy.
  4. Private
Completely hidden from search. Only accessible via direct invite code.

How to Join

From the Browse Screen

  1. Find a Hierarchy
Use the filters to narrow down your options. Read taglines and check activity levels.
  2. Click Join
Click the Join button on the hierarchy card.
  3. Set Your Display Name
Choose how you want to appear in this hierarchy - your username or a custom display name. This can be different in each hierarchy you join.
  4. Wait for Approval (if required)
If the hierarchy requires approval, you'll see a pending status. You'll be notified when approved.

Using an Invite Code

  1. Get the Code
Ask your dominant, partner, or friend for the hierarchy's join code.
  2. Go to Join Page
Navigate to "Join Hierarchy" from your dashboard or use the direct link they provide.
  3. Enter the Code
Type or paste the invite code and click Join.
