What is a Hierarchy?
In TaskManager, a hierarchy is your private space for managing D/s dynamics, tasks, training, and communication. Think of it as your digital household where you can:
- Assign and track tasks between dominant(s) and submissive(s)
- Create training programs with progressive phases
- Manage rewards, consequences, and contracts
- Share media, journals, and scene logs privately
- Track chastity, rituals, and relationship check-ins
✓ Your Role Shapes Your Experience
Once you join a hierarchy, your dashboard (The Helm) adapts to your role. Submissives see their tasks, training progress, and praise. Dominants see an overview of their submissives, pending approvals, and household activity.
Browsing Hierarchies
After creating your account and completing age verification, you'll see the hierarchy browser. This is where you can discover existing hierarchies or create your own.

Use the filter bar to narrow down hierarchies that match your interests:

Join Types
Hierarchies have different join policies:
-
Open
Click "Join" and you're in immediately. No approval required. Great for casual or exploratory hierarchies.
-
Approval Required
Your request is sent to the hierarchy's admins for review. You'll be notified when approved or declined. The hierarchy may show a custom join message explaining their requirements.
-
Invite Only
These hierarchies don't appear in the public browser. You need a direct invite code or link from someone already in the hierarchy.
-
Private
Completely hidden from search. Only accessible via direct invite code.

What Happens After You Join
Once you're a member of a hierarchy:
- Your dashboard changes - The Helm shows your tasks, training, and activity for this hierarchy
- You can receive tasks - Admins and owners can assign tasks to you
- Features unlock - Access to rewards, training programs, media library, contracts, and more (depending on your role and hierarchy settings)
- Notifications start - You'll receive notifications for tasks, messages, and hierarchy activity
Your Role
When you join, you're assigned a role:
- Member - Can complete tasks, participate in training, view assigned content
- Admin - Can manage settings, create tasks, invite members (assigned by owner)
- Owner - Full control including billing and deletion (only the creator)
Your experience in The Helm adapts based on whether you're primarily a submissive or dominant in the hierarchy. See The Helm Dashboard guide for details.
