Organization Settings
As an organization administrator, you can configure various settings to customize how your organization operates.
General Settings
- Organization Name: Change your organization's display name
- Description: Add or update a description of your organization
- Visibility: Control whether your organization appears in searches (public, private, unlisted)
- Discovery Settings: Allow or prevent users from finding your organization
Member Permissions
Configure what members can and cannot do:
- Task Creation: Who can create new tasks (all members, admins only, owner only)
- Member Invites: Who can invite new members to the organization
- Reward Management: Who can create and manage rewards
- Consequence Management: Who can define and assign consequences
Managing Members
Your organization can have multiple members with different roles and permissions.
Member Roles

Owner
The person who created the organization. Has full control, including the ability to delete the organization. Can manage subscription and billing.

Admin
Can manage organization settings, invite/remove members, and configure features. Cannot delete the organization or manage billing.

Member
Regular members who can create tasks, complete assigned tasks, and participate in the organization based on configured permissions.

Access Member Management
Navigate to Organization Settings → Members

Generate Join Code
Your organization has a unique join code. Share this code with people you want to invite.

Or Send Email Invitations
Enter email addresses to send invitation links directly to new members.

Set Initial Role
Choose whether new members join as regular members or admins (owner only).

Free tier: 2 members | Paid tier: 10 members | Premium tier: Unlimited members
Removing Members
To remove a member from your organization:
- Go to Organization Settings → Members
- Find the member you want to remove
- Click the "Remove" button next to their name
- Confirm the removal
⚠ Important: Removing Members
When you remove a member, their tasks remain but are marked as unassigned. Their comments and activity history are preserved.
Display Names
Members can use different display names in different organizations. This allows for privacy and context-appropriate naming.
- When joining an organization, choose between your username or a custom display name
- Change your display name anytime in Organization Settings
- Your username remains consistent across all organizations
- Display names are visible only within that specific organization
Organization Subscription
Each organization has its own subscription tier that determines available features and limits.
Subscription Tiers
- Free: Great for trying out TaskManager with basic features
- Paid ($29/year): Increased limits and access to advanced features
- Premium ($99/year): Unlimited usage of most features

Switching Between Organizations
If you're a member of multiple organizations, you can easily switch between them:
- Click your profile picture or username in the top-right corner
- Select "Switch Organization" from the menu
- Choose the organization you want to access
- The interface will reload with that organization's data

Each organization is completely isolated. Tasks, members, and settings from one organization are never visible in another.
Deleting an Organization
Only the organization owner can delete an organization. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
⚠ Warning: Permanent Deletion
Deleting an organization will permanently remove all tasks, rewards, consequences, training programs, contracts, media, and member data. All members will lose access. This cannot be undone.
To delete an organization:
- Go to Organization Settings → Danger Zone
- Click "Delete Organization"
- Type the organization name to confirm
- Click "Permanently Delete" to confirm
